AUTUMN PEOPLE - Autumn People (USA-1976) @320

AUTUMN PEOPLE.Grupo Americano (Arizona). Solo publicaron este disco. Sonido hard progresivo underground.

Fine description to this album. Good hard progressive sounds, nice vocals and pounding bass.

Best to my banging ears: Coffin Maker.
Its ROCKS !!!

I own the album, I knew the band, they were even better live!!! When I lived in Phoenix,AZ(USA) I became friends with Butch Poff(owner of Bull Frog Records, and bass player with Sage). His older Brother Danny was the Keyboard player for Autumn People and they were always on the road between Texas & Southern California(College Towns... College Chicks!!!). When they had a few gigs in Phoenix, we would all go out to catch them for 3 or 4 nights. I traded my ARP AXXE Synthesizer to Danny and he used it and a wonderful little "miniKorg 700" on this album along with a B3 and electric piano. Larry Clark was one of the two best Guitarist I have ever heard live, always very quiet and always amazing! The group did all sort of music live, Progressive, Pop hits and even cabaret, putting on one of the best live shows ever. RCA Records had been courting A/P, the bass player, Cliff Spiegel, was fully involved with SoundTech Studios and pushed for RCA records to distribute the SoundTech label, much as they were doing for A&M and Wooden Nickle Records at the time. It was rumored that RCA wanted them to go on tour as the opening act for STYX but when SoundTech went hard line on them they lost interest. On the cover art left to right is Cliff Spiegel-Bass & Vocals, Larry Clark-Guitar & Vocals (also wrote "Coffin Maker"), Steve Barraza-Super Heavy Drumer & vocals, Danny Poff-Keyboards & vocals (Great Showman, as big as an NFL Linebacker and as Friendly as a Teddy Bear... I found a site that pictures Danny playing live in Phoenix a year ago or so, so he's still in the Valley of the Sun and playing music.)
